Shipping tree tubes is expensive, we suggest choosing a pick-up option if possible.

Tree tubes provide shelter that protects your seedlings and makes them grow faster!  They act as both a fence and a greenhouse for your little trees and will also save you from having to prune for many years.  They only take a minute to install and can save you years of waiting by making your nut trees bear sooner!

Our Tubex tree shelters are 70" pre-assembled translucent tubes that protect trees from deer and other pests while providing an ideal environment for tree seedlings. Constructed of UV-stabilized polypropylene, the ventilated tubes provide a greenhouse environment that substantially accelerates growth while protecting from sunscald, frost and wind. Photos show a side-by-side comparison of walnut trees planted in tubes vs. those planted in open air. Perforations along the seam allow the shelter to split when the tree diameter is wide enough, so that it is never girdled.

We have tested them with deer and they have performed well, however, we are not sure how they will perform with elk, caribou, or moose (but we would love feedback if you want to try).

This item is expensive to ship (we suggest picking up tree tubes at Nutcase Nursery on Denman Island or at one of our designated pick-up days in Victoria and Vancouver).
